THE LION’S GATE PORTAL IS OPENING!
The month of August is going to be a bloody juicy one.
On the 28th of July, the Lion's Gate portal opens. This two week period revolves around the 8th of August (8/8). This is a massive time for manifestation and alignment, as the Sun in Leo comes into alignment with the star Sirius, Orion’s Belt and Earth. Sirius is the brightest star in the sky and is astrologically considered to be a spiritual sun.
The first time I heard the crystal bowls in person and truly connected with the healing power of sound was 8/8/2022, so I also see Lion’s Gate as an anniversary of sorts!
Amazingly, I have not just one, but TWO Sound Bath events transpiring during the portal. And another later in the month, just for good measure. Here’s what I’m getting up to, and how you can be a part of it!
10th August - A Reiki Infused Sound Bath in collaboration with Soul Direction
Caroline (Soul Direction) is facilitating a full day event, a celebration of Reiki. The practitioners that attend the full day will spend their time practicing, meditating and amplifying. In the afternoon, I’m popping in to create some sound magic in collaboration with their Reiki magic. Caroline has fantastically suggested that we open up the Sound Bath part of the day to the public, so that they can bask in the fantastic Reiki energy created by the group, and do so in blissful sacred sound. Caroline, and some of the practitioners I know to be attending create such a beautiful container, one that undoubtedly enhances my offerings. 12th August - Sound Bath Healing: Waiatarua Hall
The 12th of August is the date that the Lion's Gate Portal closes. While the energy of the portal peaks on 8/8, the manifestations of the portal are still materializing and settling. I’m so grateful that COMPLETELY by chance, I booked my lovely little forest haven hall for the 12th! I may be biased, but I can’t think of a better way to integrate the shifts of the portal than a Sound Bath. I have no doubt that this will be a truly divine session, and will bring closure, connection, hope and replenishment.
28th August - Sound Bath Healing: The Button Factory
I’m finally returning to regular monthly Thursdays at the Button Factory! Yay! I have just 4 to go at the Button Factory for the year. This space is so special, so much is created and celebrated within those walls. I personally feel it is so easy to lean into intuition and surrender to healing there. And as we know, perfect for anyone working in the city centre or living nearby, to step out of the rat race for sound sound juiciness in a mega convenient location.
SOMETHING NEW
I’ve been urged by a few people to record, or film what I do. So since August is so spesh, and it is the anniversary of my connection to sound… I’m gonna do it.
I still have a lot of question marks and doubts - Will the true power and intention of the sound come through in a recording? Is having a camera pointed at me going to change the way I channel? There is no way to know other than to try!
On the 8th, I’m going to attempt to record myself intuitively channelling sound, in reverence of the portal, and of what I can offer people during that time.
If I like it, I’ll post it on Youtube and on soulovertones.com, and then see what happens! If all goes well, you can have a (slightly watered down by technology) Soul Overtones Sound Healing any place, any time! You can share it with skeptical friends, use it to fall asleep, use it when you feel stuck. We shall see!
It’s completely uncharted territory for me at this point, so I’m just surrendering with zero expectations. Should be fun! So keep an eye out for that.
