CONFESSIONS OF A SOUND HEALER
The following are 10 confessions from my life as a Sound Healer. Some may be obvious, others I’ve kept close to my chest. Like #7.
Seriously, don’t judge me for #7 please.
I reckon it actually reflects quite well on me. But yeah, don’t judge me.
1.
I still don’t know what to say when people ask me to explain how sound healing works.
Gotta hear it to believe it, eh!
2.
9 times out of 10 at an event, I’m absolutely crapping myself until everybody closes their eyes.
The sound is the easy part!
3.
Even though I tell people to allow any unexpected noises to be a part of the healing, but they still make me cringe.
Shout out to the motorbikes, the lawnmowers, the airplanes, the buses, the boy racers 🫶
4.
Some of the sounds I make are accidental.
And they are sometimes followed by me pulling a face and mouthing profanities.
5.
When people snore, it tickles my ego in the exact right spot.
A++ for surrendering to the relaxation. C- for disturbing your mate next to you.
6.
If I’m walking around the room with instruments at a Sound Bath, chances are I’m also appreciating your outfit, tattoos, or your optimized comfy set up.
Anyone coming with a quilted or crocheted blanket, hold onto it tight when you’re around me!!!
7.
Occasionally, I’m holding in a fart for an entire session.
I always hold it though. Just for you guys.
8.
I’m always in a competition with myself to take the least amount of trips to and from the car for load in/load out.
PB - 2 trips 😎
9.
I don’t know the total sum of money I’ve spent on instruments now.
I don’t want to know.
10.
I almost never listen to “healing music”
Scoring a zero on the market research front. I find Joni Mitchell or Jamiroquai just as healing as “432hz heart alignment transmission”, if not more 😉
So there you have it, my dirty laundry! I do hope you’ll come again, in spite of it all 🫣
